This is one of those special projects that you create slowly from quality materials and wear with pride, for years and years and years. The kind of thing your loved ones will eye with longing and people on the street will stop you to ask where you got it.
Join me in making the Adventure Vest this November!
In this live, 5-part, virtual workshop, I'll take you through choosing your size, making fit adjustments before you begin, and sewing the vest with quality felted wool and adding rivets and snaps. We'll take it slow and careful and in that process, this wool vest will become an heirloom quality piece and...if I do say so myself the perfect gift! (It's still my Dad's favorite!)
The beauty of this workshop is that it will be intimate and live and you can jump in at anytime with questions or comments. Just like you were at an in-person workshop, but from your own comfy home. And there will be recordings!
The class will be held in 5 sessions for 1-2 hours each. For a total of 9 hours of class time. You'll also have access to our private community where you can post pictures and videos, leaves messages or comments and both get assistance and connect with other students. I am also happy to answer email questions directly!
I want you to have sweet, sweet success.
Workshop Dates

November 14th (6-8pm est) - Construction class 1
November 16th (6-8pm est) - Construction class 2
November 28th (6-8pm est) - Construction & finishing class
December 5th (6-7pm est) - Questions and Final thoughts
*I will be putting together an optional kit for the class as quality materials can be hard to source. More details on that in September.
You don't need a lot of clothing sewing
experience to join the class.
This pattern is a fairly straight forward design
that won't require a lot of clothing knowledge.
And I'll help you along the way with fit and adding shaping if desired.
What it will require is a steady hand and the ability to sew neatly and carefully....and the patience to handle thick, bulky fabric.
And finishing the vest may require some
handsewing (if you choose!).
There are no refunds or returns on live virtual workshops. In order to have an intimate, personal sewing experience and have the kind of interaction I want us to have, the number of students that can enroll in the workshop is very limited. Once you register for the workshop your space is held for you whether you attend or not.
If you are unable to attend the live workshop, the recordings will be avilable to you as well as the community (for as long as it's live) and I always weclome email questions as you work on fit and construction.
