The coziest sweater!

Hack your favorite knit t-shirt pattern into a swoon-worthy sweater fit for the holidays!

Workshop Summary

The other day I was looking through my wardrobe and realized that I was missing some key layering pieces.  Layering is my FAVORITE way to dress, not only does it let me wear those sleeveless dresses all year, but it has so much texture and coziness!

And this sweet, cozy sweater was born!  I had the sweater knit in my stash for a year or more and it just begged to made into something luxurious.  And that's exactly how I feel when I wear this sweater, luxurious!

Hacking a pattern that fits me well into new designs is my favorite way to sew!

Let me show you how to create this shawl-collar sweater from a t-shirt pattern you already own!
(It's a fast sew and would make such a great gift!).

Don't have a t-shirt pattern you love?  You can choose to purchase mine at check-out.  It comes with videos on sewing with knits and how to sew the t-shirt, including inserting the neckband using my favorite method!

On Saturday, November 30th, join me for a 3-hour workshop (from 10 am to 1 PM EST).

It will be recorded, but if you can make it live, you have the opportunity to ask questions in real time.

As a student of mine, you can also share your progress and ask your questions in the days and weeks after the class, I want you to have ease and so much success!

What you will learn...

  • how to use a knit bodice block (or well-fitted t-shirt pattern) to create a cozy, shawl-collared sweater!
  • how to sew better with knit fabric and choose fabric you LOVE
  • tips on pattern drafting
  • how to sew the sweater with your basic sewing machine

skill level - beginner!

What you'll need for the workshop ...

A steady internet connection and a device from which to join the Zoom call

Materials

Once you register, you'll get handouts and ideas on what materials and tools you'll need, but you can use the sweet little sewing machine you already have!

There are no refunds or returns on live virtual workshops.  In order to have an intimate, personal sewing experience and have the kind of interaction I want us to have, the number of students that can enroll in the workshop is very limited.  Once you register for the workshop your space is held for you whether you attend or not.

If you are unable to attend the live workshop, the recordings will be avilable to you as well as the community (for as long as it's live) and I always weclome email questions as you work on fit and construction.
